1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and online services operated by The Lighthouse Church and Ministries ("we," "our," "us," or "the Church") at tlhc.org (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Description of the Services

The Services may include, without limitation: informational content about our church; sermon and media content; online forms (including contact, prayer requests, connection cards, and ministry registration); authenticated features such as the Pathway discipleship experience; links to third-party platforms for giving, events, and other activities; and related tools we may add or change over time.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We are not obligated to maintain any particular feature or to provide uninterrupted access.

3. Eligibility

By using the Services, you represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. Where registration for children's ministry or similar programs is submitted by a parent or guardian, you represent that you have the legal authority to provide the information submitted.

4. Accounts & Security

Some features require an account through our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us promptly at info@tlhc.org if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services in any way that violates applicable law or infringes the rights of others
• Harass, threaten, defame, or harm other people; post hate speech; or submit obscene, violent, or illegal content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or connected services
• Introduce malware, scrape or overload the Services, or interfere with their proper operation
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or submit false or misleading information
• Use automated means to access the Services in a manner that burdens our infrastructure without our prior written consent

We may use technical and human moderation (including automated tools) to review submissions such as prayer requests and testimonies. We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access at our discretion.

6. User Content & Submissions

When you submit content through the Services (including messages, prayer requests, testimonies, form responses, and similar materials), you grant the Church a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, respond to you, and carry out ministry purposes— including, where you choose public visibility options, displaying content to other users.

You represent that you own or have the rights to grant the above license and that your submissions do not violate third-party rights or applicable law. You retain ownership of your content subject to the license above.

7. Intellectual Property

The Services and their content (including text, graphics, logos, videos, sermon materials, and software) are owned by the Church or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except as expressly allowed (for example, streaming or viewing content for personal, non-commercial use), you may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

8. Third-Party Services & Links

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites and platforms (such as giving providers, event registration, social media, embedded video, and analytics). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

9. Donations, Registrations & Commerce

Online giving, event registration, and similar transactions may be processed by independent providers. Payment terms, refunds, and receipts are subject to those providers' policies and any additional terms presented at the time of transaction. The Church does not store full payment card details on our website for those flows.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided for informational and ministry purposes. Content on the Services (including teaching, articles, and announcements) is not professional medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice. Always seek qualified professionals for such matters.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Church and its leaders, staff, volunteers, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us directly through the Services for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100), if you paid nothing for the relevant access. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Church and its leaders, staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or harms the Church, users, or third parties. Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that courts located in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Services, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Services.

16. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Church regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
